Greetings, fellow partners in service!
On 16th December 2017, I took a vow. A vow to dedicate energies, time, money, knowledge and efforts to the Priority areas of an esteemed organization called Rotaract. With a growing number of over 2,494 Rotaractors in our prestigious District 9213, Uganda, each Rotaractor has had a special date on which they were inducted.

As we commemorate the World Polio Day 2024, allow me to shine a spotlight on a cause that remains at the heart of Rotary’s mission: the End Polio campaign. Thanks to the relentless efforts of Rotarians, Rotaractors, and partners around the globe. We’ve made remarkable strides in eradicating this crippling disease. However, the fight is not over yet. Polio still exists in some parts of the world, and alarmingly, a case was reported recently in Eastern Uganda. This is a stark reminder that the battle is not fully won, and we must continue to be vigilant to prevent new cases from emerging.
Referring to the passion held and commitments made at your inductions into Rotary, I invite each Rotarian and Rotaractor to trace and track their individual contribution to the fight against Polio both in and out of Uganda. From donating to the Polio fund, to supporting the advocacy campaigns, when we refocus our efforts to address the gaps in our respective communities, eliminating Polio is to be the greatest achievement of our generation.
For the past Four Months of this Rotary Year, we have urged Rotaractors through their Clubs to remain resolute in our commitment by continuing to donate to #OurFoundation, supporting the #EndPolio cause that has already made so much progress. This is a critical time, and our collective action can help ensure that no more children suffer the debilitating effects of this deadly viral disease. No matter how small your efforts could be, if each of us approached this campaign to address and not to impress, we would draw closer to the goal of a polio-free world. We have the unique opportunity to be the generation that keeps polio away for good.
The District continues to encourage Clubs to support the Surveillance systems in their geographical jurisdictions by partnering with the different Stakeholders. Our Public Image Department at the District has over the past weeks held a campaign named #endpolio on all the District social media platforms, to rally our treasured membership and Rotaract partners in giving no room for complacency until every child is safe.
Our District website Rotaractd9213.org remains a one-stop service center for all the Rotaract commitments and efforts including progress on our fight against Polio.
Thank you once again for your incredible dedication, unwavering support, and your tireless commitment to making a lasting difference. The challenge is before us, and I know that as a united force, we will rise to it.
Working with the District TRF Committee, we remain committed to giving to #OurFoundation to address, and not to impress and I hope that each of you will join us to say #MeToo.
