Dear Rotaractors, Rotarians and friends of Rotary,
I am excited to welcome you to the enchanting Magical Rotary Year. I believe you are well prepared for the exciting journey that lies ahead as we create Magic in the lives of those we serve. Magic empowers individuals to tackle important tasks with confidence while maintaining composure in challenging situations. Its purpose is to instil optimism and strengthen faith in the triumph of hope over fear. I look forward to experiencing this magic with each of you!
Our focus this Rotary Year is not just on completing tasks with mere words, but on creating meaningful impact in all our endeavors. This impact will be the magic that benefits those we serve.
While we have ambitious plans for the District, I understand that some may feel apprehensive about keeping up. Rest assured, we are here to support you every step of the way, whether you run, walk, or crawl – the key is to keep moving forward together in the same direction.
Imagine the joy of you tracking your contribution of 5% towards our District TRF Target of USD 30,000! Imagine your Club having at least 30 Guests out of the 1000 new Rotaractors targeted to be inducted in our District!
You like fun, don’t you? The Rotaract Africa Summit is here. Imagine having at least 10 members from your Club be part of this fun! Did I mention the centennial celebration in Jinja? What about the Rotaract Earth Initiative to be held in Kasese?
We have made it simple for everyone to leave a mark on each District target, ensuring its success. I’m sure you’ll agree that if we all commit to contributing, these objectives are not only fundamental but can be accomplished within the first two quarters of the Rotary Year. This, once again, will truly be Magical.
I’m certain you’re aware of my fondness for music and my love for singing. For me, music serves as a coping mechanism when things become challenging. I also urge you to discover a positive coping mechanism for yourself as we prepare for any potential obstacles on our path to enhancing Magic. It’s important to have enjoyable and impactful experiences, and I encourage us to incorporate fun while bringing lasting Magic into the lives of others. After all, watching magic unfold is always enjoyable, isn’t it?
We are currently 2,775 Rotaractors in our Prestigious RI District 9213 with 127 Magical Presidents and only 48 District Officials.
When you therefore wait to be supervised by either the Magical Presidents or District Officials, you create a huge ratio which snatches a lot of energies and time for addressing the strategic Agenda. I am therefore trusting each of you to have “self-leadership” this Rotary Year. In doing this, you also develop your Professional and leadership Skills, a goal so dear to Rotaract.
Your willingness to share both your time, expertise and money says a lot about each of you as human beings. The fruits of your labour will indeed make a tangible impact.
Whether you are a District Official, Club leader or Member, if you get involved in executing your ToRs with selflessness, life transformation for both yourself and the beneficiaries is guaranteed.
Remember, the best Public Relations we could have as Rotaractors, is in Character.
“It is frustrating to try being a good neighbour in a bad neighbourhood.”
“Me too” is the Magic Phrase.
Kakati, have you set aside a Personal budget for your TRF contribution “You too” oba I write to you…?
One Love!
