“Hope is passion for what is possible…”

Our dearest readers, I welcome you to the maiden issue of the Insight Magazine in the Hope Creator Rotary year. With the change of leadership month upon us, we pause to celebrate the passing of the torch within the various clubs in our district.

We are delighted by the stories that have dared to capture this joy in words, as well as the lens that have preserved the excitement in photographs.

This year we are about all things hope. As the District Governor calls upon us to relentlessly tell stories of the hope that we have created, our DRR Emmanuel Lukeera envisions the success stories that will arise from the Hope to be created with the Big Four Agenda.

This hope is ignited by the stories in these pages. We witness the support given to 18-year-old Amina by the Rotractors from Arua School of Comprehensive Nursing, helping her overcome HIV stigma and stay in school. Additionally, the creative minds from the Rotaract Club of Buganda Royal Institute have sought to draw more people into the values of Rotary by translating the Four-Way test to Luganda. Through hese examples, we catch a glimpse of the hope we are about to cultivate.

This year, Insight Magazine hopes to inspire you to get up and act. To tell your stories and bring them to life. Break down boundaries and spread the gospel of our service far and wide. We firmly believe in the power of words and our deepest desire is to use them to create hope in the world.

So here’s to going beyond in service. Here’s to hope. Here’s to you.
