DRR’s Newsletter (January 2023)
Dearest reader,
“Your vocation in life is where your greatest joy meets the world’s
greatest need.” Frederick Buechner.
I am truly thankful and grateful to God for your long life and good health. Let’s grow together more than ever. Our service to the community is as strong as our vocations, and as Rotaractors, it is crucial that we continue to nurture and grow our vocations in all ways possible. Our Vocations are not just about personal fulfillment, but also about making a positive impact on the world around us. By nurturing our passions and skills, we can find meaningful ways to contribute to our communities and make a difference in the lives of others.
As we kick off the new year, I am delighted to see that all the Clubs are in full gear, undertaking various activities. In this issue, we bring you a recap of some of the amazing initiatives that our Clubs have been involved in.
The Rotaract Club of Naguru and friends donated artificial breasts to cancer survivors and victims, a truly selfless act that has undoubtedly touched the lives of many. The Rotaract Club of Kyambogo also made a significant impact by donating therapy equipment for children with special needs, ensuring that they have access to the necessary tools to help them thrive.
Finally, we have a recap of the meet the DRRE event, which was a great opportunity for our members to network and learn from each other. I encourage you to read through these inspiring stories and take pride in the positive impact that Rotaract is having in our communities.
Let us continue to work together, grow together, and serve together, making a difference in the lives of those around us.
