“Fall in love with your Rotaract Club” – Rotary International President Jennifer Jones

Dear Amazing Rotaractor and Reader,

Thank you for the enormous participation in the Rotary International President’s Visit especially for the Rotaract meeting on 31st August, 2022. You came all the way from Arua, Gulu, Kabarole, Bugiri, Jinja amongst other parts of our District to listen in to our President Jennifer Jones who encouraged us to do many things but mostly fall in Love with our Clubs as engine/fuel for our participation.
In this special Rotary Month of Basic Education and Literacy which aligns perfectly with our District Governor’s Basic Education and Literacy Enhancement Programme (BELEP), I invite you to do the following;

BELEP for US;
i) Join the Rotaract Ladies Initiative Book Club: rolichair@rotaractd9213.org – 0704127783 – Chair Generous Asaba. Let’s enhance our reading abilities.

ii) Contribute to the Monthly District Newsletter: drrnewsletter@rotaractd9213.org or  – 0757566929 – Chair Joseph Matovu. Let’s enhance our writing abilities.

iii) Invite the BELEP Team to Speak at your Club: fredrick.kitakule@gmail.com – 0702030594 – Chair Rtn. Freddrick Kitakule. Let’s continue to align with the vision of our District Governor.

Additionally, we can do the following to enhance BELEP in our Communities;

ii) Support a school in your community with BELEP

iii) Ensure your BELEP Project is Inclusive of the differently abled children.

iv) Invite a BELEP Partner for your club project

v) Conduct an awareness drive using social media or mainstream media

vi) Encourage local communities leaders to assess performance, needs of your local community.

vii) Apply for a global grant in line with BELEP

Thank you for supporting the Rotary Cancer Run 2022. Together we raised UGX1,362,620,000. President Jennifer Jones, a Breast Cancer Survivor encouraged us that early detection yields healing. Therefore, make time and go for Cancer Screening. Let’s Say; No More Cancer!
